Handcrafted metal Greek chess set. The set includes one chess board, 32 pawns (silver and gold color) and a box for storage and protection.

The chess pieces are hand-cast in solid zinc and then brass and nickel plated. They represent the following characters:

King: Poseidon, god of the seas, bearing his trident.
Queen: Aphrodite, Goddess of beauty and love
Bishop: Ares, God of war
Knight: Horse from 450b.C.
Rook: Ionian order column, appeared in many ancient temples.
Pawn: Owl, bird of wisdom and symbol of Goddess Athena
