Handcrafted metal Greek chess set. The set includes a box for storage and protection containing one chess board and 32 pawns (silver and gold color)

The chess pieces are hand-cast in solid zinc and then brass and nickel plated. They represent the following characters:

King: Poseidon, god of the seas, bearing his trident.
Queen: Aphrodite, replica of the statue "Aphrodite of Milos"
Bishop: Ares, God of war
Knight: Horse from Acropolis 450 b.C.
Rook: Ionian order column, appeared in many ancient temples.
Pawn: Army soldier of the Spartan army 500 b.C.
